Tutoring Services
College of the Redwoods provides FREE in-person and online tutoring (via Zoom) to all students.
Our tutoring program is designed to help you excel in a variety of subjects. Students can access in-person tutoring for key areas such as
- English: writing/composition
- Math: pre-algebra, contemporary math, college algebra
- Statistics
- Spanish
Testing Services
The ASC provides comprehensive Testing Services to support a variety of academic needs. We offer secure proctoring for placement exams, accommodated tests for students with disabilities, and exam proctoring for students from CR and other institutions. Whether you need to take a placement test in English or math or require specialized accommodations for your exams, the ASC ensures a smooth and professional testing experience. Don't forget to bring a valid form of ID when you arrive for your exam.

The Writing Lab is the go-to resource for improving your writing skills. Whether you’re working on a research paper, essay, or creative writing project, our team is here to guide you through the writing process. Services include:
- Writing Lab: Provides help with grammar, structure, and clarity in writing assignments.
- One-on-One Writing Assistance: Personalized feedback for essays, research papers, and more.
- Workshops: Focus on academic writing skills, research strategies, and citation techniques.
- Formatting Guidance: Help with proper citation styles (MLA, APA, etc.).
- Online Writing Support: Remote assistance available for students unable to visit in person.
Technology Access
Access the latest technology through the ASC’s computer labs. These labs are equipped with modern software and hardware to support your academic needs. Additionally, the ASC offers equipment loans, allowing students to borrow laptops, calculators, and other necessary tools for short-term use.
