Who can use the Testing Center?
- Students who have made arrangements with SASS (formally DSPS) and their instructors
- Students who have missed a test due to illness or other reasons and have made arrangements with their instructors
What can you make up?
You can take quizzes, exams, and final exams in the Testing Center. We can proctor paper and computer/online exams.
When?
The Testing Center is open during ASC hours. If you have any questions feel free to call, stop by, or email:
ASC Front Desk - 707-476-4154
Testing is done on a first come first served basis, there are a limited number of testing spaces available, and you may not be able to take your test at your desired time without an appointment.
We will do our best to accommodate your appointment however, due to staffing or other circumstances delays or rescheduled tests may be necessary.
Where?
We are located in the Learning Resource Center of the Eureka's campus Library. Once you enter the library, turn left and walk through the partition to find us!
How?
You will need a photo ID and student ID number to check in.
We have spare calculators, pens, pencils, scratch paper, scantrons, and fidget toys you can borrow. But feel free to bring your lucky pencil!
Testing Form for Instructors
Instructors must submit the Instructor Cover Sheet and return it to us with the test.
Test Drop-Off and Delivery
Feel free to drop off your exams in-person or email. If you email your exam, we will
print it out for you. Please do not forget to include the ASC Test Administration
Form!

When your students are finished taking their exam, you can pick up the exam in-person. The ASC can also deliver your exam via campus mail to your mailbox.
Please encourage your students to make an appointment in advance :)
SASS (formerly DSPS) Accommodations
At College of the Redwoods, students who have professionally verified disabilities are eligible to receive educational support services such as testing accommodations. Accommodations provided to students with disabilities vary, depending on the student's particular educational limitations as well as by what is available at each individual campus. SASS students who have approved testing accommodations are welcome to take their exams in the ASC.
To receive these accommodations, SASS students need to have a current test-proctoring card, signed by their instructor(s), on file in the ASC. Typical accommodations we provide are extended time, distraction-reduced testing modules, Kurzweil, and use of a computer or other technologies.
Students desiring accommodations and/or services should contact Student Accessibility Support Services (SASS) for support at 476-4280.
Testing modules may be booked up to one week in advance either in person, email, or phone (707) 476-4154. Students with a module accommodation are recommended to reserve a room in advance since there are only 2 testing rooms.
